The Experience Available from December to April Discover the true spirit of Finnish Lapland on an exclusive private husky safari with Rami's Huskies a local family run business. Rami spend all his life in the Yllas area. Designed for small groups seeking a genuine Arctic adventure, this experience takes you away from busy tourist routes and into the peaceful wilderness surrounding Ylläs. From the moment you arrive, you'll meet Rami and his friendly huskies, learn about their daily lives, and receive easy to follow driving instructions before setting off on your unforgettable journey. Travel through breathtaking snowy forests, across frozen wetlands and along scenic wilderness trails on your 10 km or 15km safari. Two guests share each sled, with the opportunity to swap drivers during the journey, take pictures and allowing everyone to experience the excitement of leading their own husky team. As your huskies eagerly pull you through the pristine winter landscape, you'll quickly understand why dog sledding is one of the most magical experiences Lapland has to offer. After returning from the trail, you'll have plenty of time to meet the dogs, give them well deserved cuddles, take photographs, and thank them for the adventure. The experience continues in a traditional Finnish kota, where you'll enjoy hot drinks, freshly baked buns, and hear fascinating stories about the huskies, Arctic life and the traditions of Finnish Lapland. Cancellation Policy
Good to know about our safaris: Riding a sled is a physical activity. Please contact us in advance if you have any disabilities, illnesses, or physical characteristics that could affect your participation in the programme. The frost limit is -32 degrees Celsius. If we have to cancel the safari due to this limit, the customer will receive a full refund. Due to exceptional weather conditions, we reserve the right to modify or change the programme without separate compensation. Layering your clothes according to the weather is important. Wild Kemijoki don't provide overalls or boots. Not recommended for pregnant women during the last trimester. Teenagers aged 14 and over may drive a sleigh with parental permission, if conditions allow. However, the final decision on this will be made by the guide on site. Participation in the safari is not permitted under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Please note that we are open by appointment only, and only those participating in the programme will be granted access to the premises. It is recommended to have travel insurance. Cancellation policy Wild Kemijoki Huskies will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 30 days or less before the event or 10% if booking is cancelled 180 days or less before the event
