Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: July 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to all experiences, tours and services offered by Lappiland Oy ("the Company"). By making a booking, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

1. Services

Lappiland Oy offers, among others:

  • Northern Lights Tours

  • Daytime Photography Sessions

  • Arctic Experience (when available)

  • Selected activities provided by third-party partners, including Husky Safaris

The services included in each booking are described on the relevant product page.

2. Nature of the Activities

Many of our experiences take place in Arctic outdoor conditions.

Customers acknowledge that weather conditions, temperature, road conditions and natural phenomena are beyond the Company's control.

The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed.

The Company reserves the right to modify routes, locations, schedules or the duration of an activity if required for safety or operational reasons.

3. Bookings and Payments

All bookings are subject to availability.

Payment terms are displayed during the booking process.

Prices are shown in Euro (€) and include only the services specified in the product description.

4. Cancellation Policy Lappiland services

Cancellation by the Customer Standard Experiences

  • More than 48 hours before the activity: Full refund.

  • Less than 48 hours before the activity or no-show: No refund.

Cancellation by the Customer Private Experiences

  • More than 72 hours before the activity: Full refund.

  • Less than 72 hours before the activity or no-show: No refund.

Cancellation by Lappiland Oy

The Company may cancel or reschedule an activity due to:

  • severe weather;

  • unsafe road conditions;

  • technical or mechanical issues;

  • insufficient participants (where applicable);

  • illness of the guide;

  • other circumstances beyond the Company's reasonable control.

Customers will be offered either:

  • an alternative date;

  • an alternative activity (where possible); or

  • a full refund.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • follow all instructions provided by the guide;

  • wear suitable clothing and footwear;

  • behave responsibly;

  • remain with the group unless authorised otherwise;

  • inform the guide of any medical conditions, allergies or mobility limitations that could affect participation.

The Company reserves the right to refuse participation if a customer's behaviour creates a safety risk for themselves or others.

6. Photography Sessions

Photography sessions take place in outdoor locations.

Customers agree to follow the photographer's instructions regarding positioning and movement.

Lappiland Oy will not request poses or activities that present an unreasonable safety risk.

Weather conditions may require changes to the planned location or schedule.

7. Third-Party Activities

Lappiland Oy cooperates with selected independent activity providers.

For activities operated by third-party companies, including Rami's Huskies, Lappiland Oy acts solely as a booking agent and reseller.

The third-party operator is fully responsible for:

  • conducting the activity;

  • guest safety during the activity;

  • equipment used during the activity;

  • safety briefings and instructions;

  • insurance relating to the activity;

  • handling complaints relating to the operation of the activity;

  • accidents, injuries or loss of personal property occurring during the activity.

Any claims relating to the operation of a third-party activity should be directed to the respective operator in accordance with their own Terms & Conditions.

8. Personal Property

Customers are responsible for their personal belongings throughout all activities.

Lappiland Oy accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property unless caused by the Company's proven negligence.

9. Health and Fitness

Customers must ensure they are physically able to participate in the booked activity.

Medical conditions that may affect participation should be disclosed before the activity.

Participation is at the customer's own risk.

10. Photography and Marketing

During activities, photographs or videos may be taken for promotional purposes.

By participating, customers grant Lappiland Oy permission to use such material unless they notify us before the activity that they do not wish to appear in promotional content.

This does not apply to private photography sessions, where images remain the property of the customer except where separate written permission has been granted for promotional use.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Finnish law:

  • Lappiland Oy shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses.

  • The Company's liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the booked service.

  • The Company shall not be liable for delays, cancellations or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

12. Force Majeure

Lappiland Oy shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure results from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, road closures, government restrictions, strikes, pandemics or other force majeure events.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Finland.

Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Finnish courts.

 

By completing a booking, the Customer confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
