Aurora Hunting / Northern Lights Tours
1. General Information
These Terms and Conditions apply to all Aurora Hunting / Northern Lights Tours offered by Lappiland, operating under the brand Lappiland Oy.
By booking a Tour, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
2. Nature of the Tour
Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) is a natural phenomenon. The Company cannot guarantee the appearance, visibility, intensity, or duration of the Northern Lights during the Tour.
Tours take place regardless of weather conditions unless safety considerations require cancellation.
Refunds will be issued if the Northern Lights are not visible.
3. Booking and Payment

All bookings are subject to availability.

Deposit payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

Prices are listed in Euro and include services specified in the Tour description.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
4.1 Cancellation by the Client

Cancellation more than 48 hours before the Tour: Full refund

Cancellation less than 48 hours before the Tour or no-show: no refund of paid deposit
4.2 Cancellation by the Company
The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a Tour due to:

Unsafe weather or road conditions
-
Mechanical issues
-
Insufficient number of participants
-
Nature (e.g. extreme weather, bad aurora data)
In such cases, the Client will be offered:

An alternative date, or
-
A full refund
5. Safety and Responsibility

Clients must follow the instructions of the guide at all times.

The Company is not responsible for injuries or accidents caused by failure to follow safety instructions.

Participation is at the Client’s own risk.
6. Clothing and Equipment
Clients are responsible for wearing appropriate clothing suitable for Arctic winter conditions.
The Company is not responsible for discomfort, illness, or injuries caused by inadequate clothing.
7. Children and Health Conditions

Children may participate only if stated in the Tour description.

Clients must inform the Company in advance about any medical conditions that may affect participation (like allergies, epilepsy or heart problems etc.)
8. Photography and Marketing
During the Tour, photos and videos may be taken by the Company for promotional purposes.
By participating, the Client grants the Company permission to use such materials unless the Client explicitly objects before the Tour.
9. Liability Limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by law:

The Company shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages.

The Company’s liability is limited to the amount paid by the Client for the Tour.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Finland.
Any disputes shall be settled by the courts.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By completing a booking, the Client confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
